I have an application which needs to read the iTunes music library xml file. I have always assumed that the file is always at ~Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml, or at ~Documents/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml but a customer informs me that he has an xml file at ~Music/iTunes/Libraries/iTunes Library.xml - note the name change and the location change.

Any one know anything about this? Should I look for it there by default?

The default location is ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml, but with iTunes 7, you can now create a library in a different location by holding down the option key on startup. However, you should be able to find the current location of the library by looking in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iApps.plist under the "iTunesRecentDatabasePaths" key.
