Does anyone have an issue where their Apple TV remote ALSO controls their television? I have a standard set up with the television on top and the Apple TV on a shelf on the bottom. When I point the remote at the Apple TV it also starts changing the input on the television (frustrating).
If I use the remote app on the iPhone there is no issue.
Just wondering if anyone has seen this or knows how to get around it?
(Didn't see any other threads about this particular issue)

A coworker has a similar problem with an LG TV and his ComCast CATV box. I had a workaround for him but it looks like yours isn't so simple.

It's basically a nuisance more than a true problem. But it does make my Apple TV remote control practically useless at least for that television set.
Oh well, good thing I have the iPhone remote app.

This may not do anything, but is worth a shot.
It may change the IR codes to something your TV doesn't use.
