No, there is no lag. I use an LG 27MU67, the predecessor of that display you have, and there is no lag.

Performance when doing 3D gaming will of course be less.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
