Very weird problem. Actually, I had a Mac since 1985, and that's the first time I see this.
I did install OS X PB yesterday afternoon. Everything went smooth. After some configuration settings, adding a few accounts, I decided I had enough and thought I should fire up Diablo II.
Not sure about the status of Diablo II with OS X, I rebooted in OS 9. Then, I went to my Diablo II files folder and double-clicked on the Diablo II application. The application seems to start, but then, maybe 2 or 3 seconds, maybe less, it comes back to the Finder and then a weird message appears:
"'Diablo II' could not be opened because 'Diablo II' could not be found."
What the hell is this? I've tried all I could think of during more than 1 hour, but always the same problem. I did install it again on a different disk, no dice. Did restart with extensions off, no go. Did run DiskFirstAid, no problem. I even rebooted under OS X and tried to give it ago. This time, the error message was sligthly different: "An application has unexpectedly quit. The system and other applications blah blah blah...".
What can it be? I've played Friday evening and everything was fine. The only thing I did was to install OS X. But that happened on a different disk than my OS 9 disk, and also different than the Diablo II disk.
I've search in the news archives, MacFixIt, but couldn't find anything close to my problem.
Anybody has any idea?
Thanks in advance!
