Nothing, sadly

But I might buy the wife's mom a Digital Picture frame, with a full SD card

I'd say you should be sweet and kind to mother, now and then, have a chat, buy her candy or some flowers or a brand-new hat, but maybe you best let it go at that!

Mothers are easy, fathers are a huge problem.

For Mothers: take your pick: flowers; beauty products from the Body Shop, Crabtree and Evelyn; manicure and pedicure; massage; an expensive salon gift certificate; tell them you love them; never diner together (mother and wife); for a wife a romantic weekend (not at a football game but a winery or at the ocean or at a resort); for mother: catering for a week so she will not have to cook; etc.

I'm travelling far to meet Mom, then will spend the day and go to a nice restaurant. Maybe some nice flowers too.

I did that for my aunt at Christmas and it was a BIG hit.

I'm thinking about a iPhoto Book with pics of the kids for my wife. They have a 20% off Mother's Day coupon right now, and there is still time to order and have back by then.

I've done that before, everyone loves the iPhoto books, the 20% off coupon should be handy too, thanks for that

My mom wouldn't use the photo frame. She's not in to photo's. Which scratches the iPhoto book too.

She doesn't care much for beauty products.

I'm sure she'd like flowers, but I wouldn't feel right giving her just those. They're like an "and also these" gift.

So, any more ideas?

I was thinking of taking a day off to be her slave so she can vegetablize on the sofa all day or something a little more personal like that.

Good ones, assuming the weather is nice.

I plan on getting my mom a new Mac mini. Or a MacBook. She's currently using a G4 mini. Could use an upgrade.
