If anyone can help me with this, I know you folks can. I want to open, view and hopefully work with .max files (scanned Visioneer / Scansoft files). I have done some searching and found a "Viewer" application for Mac. I downloaded and installed it, but realized that it was written for and only works with OS 9 and earlier.

Ultimately, I wish to convert these files to .pdf.

Are there any other options out there? Thanks.

Do you have a valid OS 9 System Folder on your mini to run Classic? Try that, and if it can be opened by that viewer in Classic, you can then copy to clipboard and paste in a new Preview PDF document. Save that new document and you've got your PDF.

No. Not that I can find. There is a Classic folder in the library, but is empty. Bought the Mini on 8/4/05 and is my first (but not last) Mac. Since I am still learning, I may not be looking in the correct location.

Thanks.
