Why does CNN always send Anderson Cooper to stand in the middle of a hurricane?

Here's a funny clip.

I can make this thread more interesting if I make it a poll about whether Anderson is ghey or not the ghey.

Why do links to CNN videos always send me to the front page of their video section instead of the actual video?

I wish he'd go back to hosting The Mole.

The real question is why in the world are they out there. I find it laughable that they say its too dangerous to come out, yet they're out there doing wacky things.

I watched Anderson for a few minutes. All I could think of was that reporter in Day After Tomorrow who gets slammed by debris.

The trend appears across all channels. I think Fox had a guy on a rope at one point. LOLOMGBBQ!!

My wife watches that show and is constantly saying the same thing. I wish they'd put him back on there so I could stop having to hear her say that.

It's a great show no matter who hosts it, but he was outstanding.

Unfortunately, no reporters were killed when Gustav came through. Maybe Hanna Montana will do better... One can only hope.

They send Anderson to such events because he's photogenic. He also seems to actually think now and then, unlike so many TV news talking heads. On the other hand, if you see one of the guys from The Weather Channel show up in your town, it would probably be a good idea to leave quickly!

While watching Gustav coverage, I saw Mike Seidel in Gulfport MS (I used to live near there) in a casino parking lot. The wind kept blowing him over, LIVE, while he was explaining how the storm surge was behaving. It was quite funny. (Of course, you may have had to be there...)
