I was interested in ordering the DSL service from qwest but they say the msn isp is not mac compatible. So I was wondering does this mean that I won't be able to access the internet at all? Or will it mean that I can't use the msn stuff and I could use safari and mail instead? i wouldn't want to use it anyway. Thanks for the help.

MSN is not the only ISP supported by Qwest-I'd try looking around for any other ISP.
Anyway, all you should lose by not getting MSN as your ISP is the MSN-specific content. You CAN get DSL from Qwest, and it WILL work with a Mac, it's just who will provide you with email support that's really an issue here.
I'd call Qwest and ask what ISPs they support and then check out those ISPs.

Up to a week ago I used to sell Qwest DSL with MSN Premium...
Currently Qwest has a promo that will get you 1.5 MB dsl speed with msn for 19.99 for a whole year (but you need to make sure you ordeer it online, otherwise the price will be 24.99 or 29.99 depandoing if you have home phone packge , unless you live in AZ or NE)
M point is: get the promo for the price! You can still do everything online.. who need M$ anyway. Your other oprions with Qwest are more expensive!
Hope this helps...

The big problem with that is you DO NOT get the bundle discount if you do not have MSN as you ISP. I was told in the online chat that "Mac users have modified MSN to work with their computers" Anyone know what that means? When you have MSN as your ISP do you need MSN software to get on the net?

I was told by a Qwest CSR all I need to do is use a PC to setup the account and the email., then I can do the rest with my Mac. I will be getting MSN with 7mbps for $23 a month after bundles, etc.
