As
rumored earlier, iOS 7.1 will indeed not reach the public until March, new sources say. The people add that the update will also lack any "secret features," meaning items which Apple sometimes conceals from betas so it can make a splash when the software is finished. Instead the update is
expected to concentrate only on the sort of things that have been seen so far, such as improved Phone and Calendar apps, speed boosts, and
bugfixes.
Some speculation held that Apple might use v7.1 to introduce iOS in the Car. The feature has been promised for sometime in 2014, and recent versions of iOS have contained preliminary code. Another possibility is that v7.1 will help pave the way for a major update of the Apple TV, which is based on iOS, and rumored to be getting a refresh in the next few months.
