Letterman is a funny guy. I think Apple needs a really cool and serious add that will leave the viewer in awe. We need someone like Manyard from TOOL .

Two other avid Mac fanatics. Drew Carrey; Who's Line is it Anyway is very popular and what TV show has promoted Macs more than The Drew Carrey Show?
Also, Tom Cruise. Loves Macs and tries to get them in his movies.

Emeril would be a great choice. Lots of similarities between his food and the macintosh (color, style...). And a lot of energy from the guy.

that would be a great choice.

Apple just needs to keep using cute boys in their commercials like the one in Rip, Mix, and Burn. They will become the Abercrombie & Fitch of computing ;-) ... heh heh

"We need someone like Manyard from TOOL"

Henry Rollins used to do 'what's on your powerbook' ads. I think he also did the cube commercial voice overs during the actors' strike. Now he's a badass spokespreson.
