[Win2Mac]

Does anyone know if macmall.com or any of the other internet retailers of Mac systems have holiday specials. Kind of like the specials that Best Buy puts out the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas. Has anyone bought a Mac before on a special like that from macmall or macconnection?

I work in a church group and we are planning to buy a computer for use in the group to keep track of finances, Word, and Excel, maybe some web browsing and some email, and an occasional movie on a plane trip or something. So we are looking to buy an iBook, but since we are pinching pennies, we want to get the most computer for the least $$ as possible. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

check the refurbs on the apple site. might be your best bet.

Also since you are in Illinois and we have a few Apple stores around, if its not too far go take a trip to one and see what they have on the table by the checkout desk. Usually at the end of the month they put stuff out there like display models refurbs and things people have otherwise opened and returned but not really used.
