You have a badly written post....... You should be telling us what troubleshooting steps you performed......But anyway, I just got back from the Finder and the Date & Time control panel will or should change between 12/24HR............

You are right. I should have stated that I'm using OS 10.3, and the date and time control panel, while having lots of options, does not offer a 12/24 HR button as in OS 9. i really appreciate you r help, as I'm new at this.

The answer was found in Apple's KnowledgeBase:
Follow these steps:
1. Open the System Preferences application.
2. Click International. The International pane appears
3. Click the Time tab.
4. Click 12-Hour clock.
5. Quit the System Preferences application.
That's should do it. Good Luck.
