I am reading the other posts commenting on the performance of IE 5.1 ..

Do I remove any old IE software and then drag the icon to the hard drive ??

Or leave everything like it is and let IE overwrite ??

Hey George,

I just installed IE 5.1 and ran it a couple of times. It picked up all my favorites etc from IE 5. Everything seems to be running OK. It does make it's own cache.waf
But aside from that, it's seamless. So, I've just trashed the IE 5 folder.

Read the Read Me.

All you have to do is copy the folder to your hard drive. That's it. You can keep both versions of IE on your computer, but you can't run them at the same time.

I did this yesterday. One thing to note, especially if you will be trashing the old version, is that you need to move any plugins that you want to keep from the old IE folder to the new one.
