Please, anyone received a recent MacBook after about July 5th (or last 2 weeks) either Black or White model from Amazon?

Please share the build code part in your serial number. ie W8625------ ( Week 25)

We are trying to see how close recent Amazon or Apple shipping units are in build weeks, How recent is recent, for instance,

I realize a currently shipping CTO unit direct from Shanghai will be more recent than a batch shipment to Apple or Amazon.

We have a defective unit being replaced and hope that most issues have been addressed on currently shipping units.

My 4th macbook was a week 26 blackbook from Amazon that i ordered on July 6th and it gets hot as hell(had some other minor issue that i can't recall at the moment), so i gave it to my friend.


I'm personally done with these things until they fix them. #5 is sitting here waiting for UPS to pick it up heh.

Wow, Sorry to hear of your experiences; I wished that the quality control had improved, but perhaps it's just design flaws. We had two here, one ok, the other with countless problems.

Maybe wait for Core2Duo 2.33ghz 15" Black MacBook with backlit keys.
