does anyone know how you can connect a parallel zip to a IIci as it doesn't have a parallel port ?

You can try to find a parallel to SCSI adapter for the mac, but I do not think you will find one. They have them for the PC world, but not for the mac. I think you are out of luck. The other course is a USB card, but I don't think there are any manufacturers of USB cards for NuBus out there and a USB to SCSI converter. You best course of action is probably to knuckle under and buy a SCSI Zip.

In a word, no, you can't.

Get a SCSI Zip.
