My parents and I used iChat AV a lot. But this week, they can not connect to the iChat server, while internet is fine, Safari works fine, email is fine.

any one can tell me the iChat server? So my parents will call ISP to specify the problem.

thanks

So how about sharing your solution with us?

Unless it's too embarrassing, of course.

I thought the iChat server was the same as the AOL client.

iChat uses the same servers as AIM. If you are on a wireless network and logged into iChat, when you switch wireless networks you get an automated message from user aolsystemmsg advising you that "Your screen name ([email protected]) is now signed into AOL(R) Instant Messenger (TM) in 2 locations."

iChat is simply another AIM client although a much, much nicer one.

I think this is what you meant in your post but I just thought I'd elaborate.
