Apple's upcoming Mac Pro is set to be released in December -- and with its launch still a month away, speculations continue regarding how it will perform. Apple has not announced which processors will be used, but according to John Poole of Primate Labs, research suggests Xeon E5 is likely for all upcoming models. Furthermore, the specs of the suggested processors appear to line up with details posted on the official Mac Pro website.
By combining some leaked Geekbench 3 results with Windows workstations that use the same processors as the Mac Pros, the estimates suggest that single-core performance will be similar for the 4-, 6-, and 8-core models. Compared to the current Mac Pros, the upcoming four-core model will be between 50 and 75 per cent faster, and the upcoming 12-core model between 16 and 32 per cent faster than equivalent current models.
Twelvesouth's BookBook Travel Journal stows iPad, accessories
Twelvesouth, a Mac-exclusive accessory designer, has released its latest carrier for iPad, the BookBook Travel Journal. Aimed at those who have replaced their laptop with an iPad, the leather case has an exterior appearance of an old, hardcover bound book. The interior has over a dozen pockets and straps to organize gear. The case is able to store an iPad, headphones, adapters, and more. The BookBook Travel Journal is compatible with all iPad generations, including iPad Air and iPad mini. Available for $100, the case can be purchased online.

By research he means looking at the Apple Store website Mac Pro page? (http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/mac-pro)
"3.5GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 with 12MB L3 cache and Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz"
