Hey guys....
Im brand new to the Mac world and I am wondering how I map a network drive on my powerbook or Macs in general...

Any help would be great...Thanks

When you talk about mapping a drive, are you referring to the way Windows sets a drive letter for any server you connect to? If so, that does not exist on the Mac. Simply connect to the server from the Go menu in the Finder. The volume you are connecting to will show up on the desktop. Just double click and go!

There's no real direct comparison as the MacOS has no need to assign drive letters to logical drives. However, you can mount networked volumes automatically at login. Here's a nice tutorial:
