PB12in Rev B. vs Ti1GHz (Airport Range) ?

I'm considering going portable, with the choices being a TiPBG4 1GHz, or a 12inPBG4 RevB.
I find the Ti's range rather weak, here in the house, I get more range out of my mom's ibook that a Ti.
can anyone who used both, tell me which book has better range ?

I own a Rev. A 12" PB and previously owned a PB Ti 1GHz and the 12" AL PB definitely has a better range.
I would highly recommend the 12". Great range, lighter, and holds up to 1.25 GB of RAM.

I haven't pulled out the measuring tape  , but I'd say it is 20-25% better range, easily. I haven't tried it recently in OS 10.3 cause I got rid of my Ti-Book prior to that, but I doubt it improves it that much. If reception is a concern, I'd say go with the 12" PB 1 GHz.

The way to get good airport range out of a Ti is to put in an airport wireless PC-card. I've got a Cisco Aironet, and the range is awesome. It does mean you've got the antenna portion of the card sticking out of the card slot, and you have to eject the card before putting it in a backpack, but if you've already own a Ti that's the way to go.
Also, the airport "reception bars" aren't a reliable way to measure range. Even MacWorld magazine used MacStumbler to measure range in their review, mainly because it gives you numbers to compare across models and base stations.

I would probably go with the 12" even if Airport reception wasn't an issue. The current 12" should be a bit faster CPU-wise (the 512K of level 2 cache means that you don't really need L3), is more resilient against scratches, and won't depend on Apple being gracious enough to keep supporting generic Broadcom chipsets in their Airport software.
