I cannot find 3.03 for MacOS 9 (Classic) on the Berkeley site anymore. They must be sensitive about the buffer exploit and really want folks to move to version 3.08.

However, I have the OS nine version of 3.03. Just drop me an eMail and let me know where you'd like it sent.

I've no experience with SUM but since the Berkeley pipe is better (not perfect, just better) I don't bother to prefetch units. If that is what SUM does then you might make life simplier by moving to S@H 3.08 and skip SUM.

Just a thought...

SUM donates 2% of your work units to Team MacAddict.

Ouch! But an interesting idea...

Here are the details from the site of Christian Vick who wrote SUM.
