Well, I can't say that I'm excited about it since this is the first time I've heard of it, and frankly, I'm still taking it in

You'll find that most people around here don't care about Spymac or that they actually dislike it for one reason or another it. There are a few, however, that do take advantage of their free email services and they may be "excited" about this new version of their site.

The only thing I ever liked about spymac was the setup gallery, it's hella fun to see "setups" from time to time, just to gain ideas about what to do or ... yeah, kinda like an online version of "cribz" or whatever, though it'd be nice if it covered entire houses and not just computer setups I could use more decorating ideas..

NOT for here. Gosh, no.. this space is too crowded to make anything look too awesome lol.

Only 13-years-old would be excited about that.

There is one thing to be said though. The "right" on this place make me sick.

On the other hand, the "left" on spymac make me sick, and I'm "left"..

MacNN = the B!tch and whine about gas prices for your "truck" that you use every day for commuting, push pro-left threads into the religious lounge for devour by the "noisy minority" and leave the pro-right threads hanging around to piss the lounge goers off

Spymac = The brag about being athiest, gay, lesbian, bi, or whatever odd thing, and then suggest that parents teach their little kids how to be metro, know that they can be gay/bi/lesbian/whatever, and .. yeah..

Total opposites. We need a "definitely liberal but not extremely so" place.. that has a real gallery.. and admins that don't hate everyone on the planet I'm honestly getting sick of how every time I get a PM, even from mods who hate mods that say the same thing, it's always "everyone here hates you, we know this, and I'm the only guy that can tolerate you" sorta thing..

Err anyway. Spymac used to have a nice simple gallery, and the forum was at one point okay.. well.. tolerable anyway.

One day, it got closed down for almost a month and then came "Spymac 3! A revolution!" -- so bloated that it totally ignored the typic website width thing, did away with dynamic sizing, broke custom avatars to a point and gave them an ugly affect (not to mention ridiculous "stamps" on them), and killed the gallery navigation as we knew it..

The forums became a bloated mess and the shout box was full of junk. At least MacNN has a nice simple layout! Kudos there.

Well Spymac 4 will be much faster, it has been completely redesigned, and rewritten in CSS. It will be great.

A website written entirely in CSS? This I gotta see. Not.

Stop spamming please.

too bad all your users are either juvenile or retarded. it's really just pretty looking over there, no content involved. sorry man, had to say it.

i think if you switched the emphasis from css layout and GUI fluff and focused on maintaining a knowledgeable user base you'd be far better off.

another site with a very similar problem- http://www.macusersforum.com

not only do they have a censor on the word "crap" but their user base and mods spam far too many useless (albeit pretty) smileys.

clifffs-
switch emphasis from useless crap that looks good and court better users.

not to mentioned you killed all credibility with the iWalk fiasco.

Wow, why all the Hate? I see this all the time - you see a new member and any thread they make, is automatically labled 'Spam'. It's quite ridiculous really.

It is a simple question:

"So who's excited about Spymac 4?" = not Spam

"Come to my website, click my links, buy my products" = Spam ... Get it..
when Windows™ crashes on you, press:'CTRL+ALT+DEL' and then choose: to 'think different'. if you have any other problems, consult a psychologist.

No hate, just annoyed by the site spamming.

I am sure you do.

No, that isn't how it works. Most new users are treated nicely for the most part.

Users that just join, then make threads and spamming about OTHER sites with forum however don't.

A shameless promotion of the new Spymac site.
"Come to my website, click my links, buy my products" = Spam ... Get it..
We know what spam is. Anything that is unwanted. So please, be nice and quit.

Thanks.

Hmmm... This thread tastes spam.

FYI: Using your first post and your first thread to discuss another site is not the most brainy of things to do.
