See? MacNN forum members were right: Canon really is the best! HP was a close second, Epson 3rd.

What article are you reading? From the first paragraph:
"Make no mistake: Despite Canon's run at its crown, HP still gets its typically outstanding ratings, with a significantly better than average score overall and on reliability, with significantly fewer printers than average needing repair."

Sounds like HP is still #1.

Either Canon or Epson are still quite good printers and I'd take either one. Couldn't pay me to take an HP or Lexmark....

Uhhh, did you look at all the charts and whatnot? In the chart, where the numbers are, Canon came out on top in every single category.

That paragraph just says that HP is not bad; HP is still good, and still above average. But the numbers nonetheless put Canon on top.

Canon?!

Epson! Epson has a greater selection of media, and their inks are better, IMHO.
Did Schroedinger's cat think outside the box?

No - I'm not a subscriber to PC Mag. Just read the article.

Does Epson have those things? Perhaps. But Canons are faster, and much less problematic. (NO clogging.) Better drivers, too.

Maybe you should try a Canon (or HP) sometime before you bash it.

You don't have to be a subscriber -- I'm not. Logins are free, and I'm sure bugmenot.com has a login for it anyway.
