Is there an application on mac that will actually display a map of where wireless networks are. Somewhat like a network radar.

EG. If I'm standing in a cafe with as macbook in my hands, I could pinpoint nearby networks on a map.

This would be great, I would also like to know if anything is available. I'm going on a trip to Chicago and the hotel charges $14.95 a day for wireless internet - no thank you - I'd rather walk to a coffee shop or restaurant and use theirs while enjoying something tasty.

Maybe not what you are looking for but AirRadar is nice, it used to be free.

That looks good - I'll give it a try while in Chicago.

Thank you!

KisMac and iStumbler are two other tools to achieve something similar (they don't show you a map per se, but do show you what other networks are detectable in your vicinity).
