I have two pismos, and one of them has the region4 as default, I have no more changes to change the region, and the other one has all the chances...
Can I replace or copy the freeregion dvd firmware of the other pb?

Best Regards, any help will be appreciated.

Thank you very much, but that utilities I have tried do not work, and I don't want to repeat the process because it can maybe damage the drive, right now it is working very well, but please tell me if my idea can become true or if I am just dreaming.

Hey MacMario,

Yeah, I believe that you _could_ accomplish such a project as copying your firmware from Pismo to Pismo, but you would need to code your own program to do so. Start by trying to get your hands on tthe code for he firmware updating app that JoshuaX linked to, or some of the others floating around the block. If you are lucky, the code is opensource and C++ and there is a nice little object for reading to and from DVD firmware. Then read from one, write to disk, copy the file to the other, and write to firmware.

Uh, if you are not a programmer, you will probably need to get help, because this project is _possible_, but most likely not at all simple. I myself would not try without some help.

good luck,

Ben

Thank you very much, to both.
I am really interested in programing that way, thank you.
And of course I will need help.

Best regards
