Definitely buy the refurb so long it's refurbished by the manufacturer and not a 3rd-party vendor...

ya and make sure they have a return policy. i've heard stories of problems with refurb's and brand new so what the hey buy the refurb.

Absolutely, buy refurbished (by Mfr.)

You get the full warranty, and it's cheaper.

If you buy a Television, ($1,500) ... discount that's $450 off!

Enough for a Photo iPod.

I bought my 12" PB as a refurb. No problems and as an added bonus it arrived with a SuperDrive thrown in for free.

Ok so I've decided to reveal more details.
It is a video camera. A Canon zr70, the price is 499 cdn. I know it retails between 700 and 800 cdn, the cheapest froogle brought up for a new one is 519 us, but all the sites on froogle state that the msrp is 699. The only downside is this model is obsolete.
