I notice when browsing Express Men, Gap, and Banana Republic online they have a lot more clothes (or maybe they just look better on a computer screen) then at their stores. I've been thinking about buying a few items online, but it would probably be a hassle to return them if I didn't like them, or were the wrong size. So, does anybody buy their clothes online?

I did.. from Polo.com and GUESS.com ..
Both orders ended up very good.
I think women do that more then men... I always see college gals browsing those clothing store in the computer labs.

If you know the company sizes well then I guess it is ok but I still like to feel the material before I buy. No stores online that don't also have a retail store near me so I don't see that much of a point.

Buying clothes online is always a gamble.
Like Vadar said, if you know your size, or the company sizes, then you should be okay, though one thing to keep in mind is that colors are not always the way they look on screen.

I have only *just* started to buy clothes online, i normally just purchase them cheap in the sales but some clothes you cannot get in the UK. The few I have bought have been from Japan and imported into the UK.

I just bought a Polo online (ebay, for 4.24$) and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
Do a search for "polo emo" on ebay, you'll find cool stuff. I plan to buy a couple of other things too. Ebay rocks!

I would not buy clothing online. Because of my height and odd size, it's best that I go to the store to try on the clothing. I usually only have a very narrow selection.

I would never buy clothes online unless I've seen it at the store first. Sometimes clothes looks good on the rack or in a pic but I never know if I'm going to like it until I'm wearing it so online is out of the question for me. Maybe underwear, they won't let you try those on in the fitting rooms at the store either.

I only get t-shirts and socks online, otherwise in-store is much better for checking out fit and material. Not everything can be done online as well as in real life.

I've bought shirts during online promotions, and have been pretty happy with them. As far as returning items goes, many stores make it very easy to do so at no cost to the customer.
