Cool indeed, and that may be compelling enough for me to upgrade from CS4.

I don't understand how it works, it's almost too good to be true.

I don't either. I guess it just delves deeply into metadata? IDK. It seems really quick for what it must do though.

Some sort of specialized (and optimized) texture synthesis.
Looks great! Can't wait to get my hands on it.

That was really, really impressive. If it's half as good as it appears in that demo, I'm going to have to start padding my photoshop billing.

It's the next level for the band-aid tool. It has some of the same flaws, too, as you can see where the work has been done when he works over a few of the lens flares (nothing that couldn't have been fixed with a little more attention, though).
As far as it being to good to be true, he says, "Let's see what happens," but they know damn well whats going to be happened. So I imagine those pictures were ideal for their demonstration.

Sounds like an implementation of this paper from SIGGRAPH 2009 which included 2 Adobe employees.

Wow...that's pretty impressive. If Adobe is going to continue to charge what they charge for PhotoShop it's good they're adding some unique features.

They have to do something to compete with programs like pixelmator that cost ~90% less and have much better performance and interface.
