Does 10.2 come with an install disk of OS9 9.2.2 or something? I haven't heard.
Does this mean that Jobs REALLY isn't updating OS9 anymore?

I mentioned this in another thread about how I thought this was pretty cheap of Apple.

Didn't the whole "casket on the stage" give it away that OS 9 is dead?
Anyway, I don't think it's going to be included. I think Apple feels as though the whole OS 9 included thing takes away from OS X being a mature operating system. That would be like Microsoft including Windows Me when they ship you Windows XP (I'm sure some people would actually like that as well, but that's a whole different story...)
I only hope the new systems support 9. I'm almost sure that they will, but you never know. I feel bad for those designers that make their money day in and day out on 9 and need more time to switch/upgrade to X...
I know for a fact that OS 9 will never receive an enhancement. It may be upgraded simply for compatibility concerns, but that would be the extent of the upgrade.

They better include an OS9 disc. My "friend" (you know who you are) "borrowed" it and I haven't seen it since. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Which they do.

Including OS 9 just for Classic was one of the justifications in changing the price to $129. I'm sure there is something. I just hope that they include OmniWeb and other stuff - people not on broadand, the majority, will never reap the rewards and enjoy OS X. There are just too many big updates.
I'd like to see a supplemental CD, maybe BSDmall, with Mozilla and lots of other goodies. More users would benefit from that than from the Dev Tools they don't know what to do with.
There was a poll and like 70% of the people who login to MacNN, MacIntouch each day are on broadband connections, and are the 10% user base that OS X has reached.
