so, I've got a project for which I was hoping to use HTML for display, and I wanted to use webkit for editing HTML as it was displayed (I could, of course, write a bunch of code to do the editing with my own custom view and output the html manually, but I thought that having WebKit do it would be so much easier. It saves me parsing the HTML and all that.

BUT... when I get the HTML...
[(DOMHTMLElement *)[[[mainPane mainFrame] DOMDocument] documentElement] outerHTML];
it comes out with the tags in all caps, and it clobbers my doctype that I feed it.

Is there some way to get WebKit to play nice and output markup that would conform as XHTML?
