I posted months ago and there was no answer, so just want to confirm:

I'm in notes on iphone.

I type 1009 Jones St.

iphone adds decimal point on end. I click enter and the next line is:

1,010.

Nothing I can do? I don't want a new number. I can't even copy paste the first number. Thanks

Are you saying that iphone corrects 1009 to 1,010? Because I type 1009 Jones Street and nothing happens.

Same here. Just typed 1009 Jones Street. iPhone didn't do anything to it.

I tried with plain text, check list, and table. Nothing.

Is this Apple's own "Notes" app? Doesn't sound like it.

Yes Apple Yellow notes S. Good point. I just tested and issue is not happening. So I don't know what triggers this, but every couple of months, some number I type in, when I click enter creates a new number. Very annoying when happens..

I've seen that too, but it was so random that I didn't worry about it. It would format some numbers as "numeric" and others as "text" without any rhyme or reason I could identify. I don't recall what dodge I used to correct those issues, but I think that if you are entering plain text before you enter digits it changes how Notes formats the digits - as opposed to starting a new line with a digit.

I'd play with it to check, but I'm without a phone for a while...
