Well, I guess, making a mistake is one thing. Recognizing that everyone makes mistakes is a next step. But sometimes, I'm a little irritated by some reactions.

Zimpi has a point: the banning practices are a little out-of-control. Yes, mistakes happen, but if the rule is to ALWAYS ban both parties, then the rules are messed up.

Yes, I got banned for being bad before.

I PURPOSELY posted in that forum under said nick and didn't break the rules FOR A REASON.

It was a piss poor excuse and Demon knows it.

No, I was already banned and punished for that already.

I guess Demon decided I needed more punishment.

It's just not a handful of "whiners" now, I've spoken with a few mods that this rubbed them the wrong way as well.

People have been complaining about this for years. Only to fall on deaf ears.

I know people make mistakes.

But the part about making mistakes, is owning up to them.

The people who own NN is lucky I didn't keep my mouth shut, and just let those who wanted to (And could and get away with it) DDOS MacNN into oblivion.

It came --> <-- that close from happening today. And it wouldn't be hard considering NN is on it's last leg now.

I pleaded and begged them and talked them out of it. I explained that people do make mistakes and to just wait it out and see what happens.

Well we saw what happens.

If anything happens to NN, I was not apart of it.

No, I have my own forum wherein I offer free phpBB templates for download. Although I have lurked here occasionally from time to time, Ive never posted until today, for reasons other than Kevin's banning. I actually didnt know anything about it (I dont think) until today.

Im not here to start trouble. Ive been a Mac user for 15 years and I have nothing against anyone here. But if people are going to talk smack to me just because Im a n00b here or whatever the reason, Im not going to curl up and suck my thumb.
