When ever I try to google something, Safari sys I'm not connected to the internet, but I can load other pages fine. Any idea what's going on?
This happens when I try yo use the built-in search box and straight google.com, no other browsers have the same problem.
Safari 3.0.4/OS X 10.5.1
edit: after running network diagnostics it seems to be working again.

It seems to be doing it again, this time telling me that google.com doesn't exist.
Screenshot:
Again, Camino will load Google and I can ping google.com

Sometimes I get that, too.
Then you hit the return key twice or so, and google's back. (I suppose you have google as your start page).

Are you able to get Google's proper IP address by pinging google.com? If not and you are being routed somewhere else, the problem is not with Safari.

I don't, no matter how many times I hit return it won't load.

Ok, this is strange, when trying to go to newegg.com it takes forever to load, when I ping it I get this:
[codex]
36 bytes from 216.52.208.187: Communication prohibited by filter
Vr HL TOS Len ID Flg off TTL Pro cks Src Dst
4 5 00 5400 179c 0 0000 36 01 0273 192.168.1.2 216.52.208.187
[/codex]
What the heck is this filter?

That is strange. Is that the third hop? I'd get on the horn with your ISP.

'third hop'?
I tried pinging other sites too, like apple.com and go the same ping error, but they load normally in Safari.
Something to know: last night someone in moscow DoS'ed my FTP server, and I had to bring it down. Its been off sense. The hostname of the person was a .su domain. Could someone in Russia be hacking me?

Comcast eh? Try open DNS. We had this problem for months until we switched to ODNS.

What? I have FiOS not Comcast.
Altho the problem has stopped, I am still wondering what caused it, IPv6 could have.
