CNN called Missouri for Bush, so never mind. Still no metro results in, but they must feel good about their exit polls.

I hate to say this, but what I thought would happen, seems to be happening: Bush is winning. Oh well, four more years. Good thing I'm not gay and not planning on having an abortion.
|
But what about POLAND?

Well, I'm not sure yet what the final results will because although 85% of Florida precincts are reporting in, it does not indicate how many voters are in the last 17%.
Anyhow, Bush has a 5% lead with 85% of precincts reporting.

I believe the major Demcratic counties are Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward. Those counties have reported in 94%, 72%, and 87%.

That's big.

It's been expected for the last 6 hours, and the Republicans conceeded it about 3 hours ago. Gore won it in 2000, no big surprise. Michigan has Bush ahead so far, now THAT is a surprise.

California for Kerry, as expected. Things are closing up more than they seemed for a while. Bush 197, Kerry 188.

The exit polls have been off by quite a bit, worse than in recent memory. I really wonder about that.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- White House sources are telling UPI that they believe George W. Bush will win Ohio and be re-elected president of the United States.
All data has Ohio leaning Bush.

Heh, Fox is reporting 144 Electoral votes for Kerry while everyone else is reporting 188. All agree on Bush's 197 right now.

Fox isn't calling very many states until t least 50% of precincts report in. It's a good thing, IMO.

Yup. All of the reports I am hearing and reading online are starting to favor Bush. I am guessing they will call Florida and Ohio once they hit 99% and both will go Bush.

Ah man, with 94% of ballots counted, it doesn't look good for Kerry in Florida even thought the exit polls show that Kerry might take Florida by a narrow margin.
|
Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

I think 300,000 is a comfortable lead for Bush. Much better than 2000!

Ohio looks good for Kerry. If Kerry takes Ohio, it's bye bye for Bush.

Bush is up by 4%, so far, with 61% of precincts reporting. Bush should feel good about Ohio, given the trend.

They did say on CNN that the urban precincts are coming in later in Ohio (usually it's the opposite). So that could bode well for Kerry.

Solidly Democratic Cuyahoga (where Cleveland is located) has only reported in 52%. Kerry is winning 63% / 37% there.
I still think Kerry will have a tough time winning Ohio, though.

Stupid question: does anyone know the official policy if and when it turns out to be a pretty much down the middle tie?

If neither candidate get the required 270, it goes to the House and Senate. One elect the Pres the other the VP. Oh and it is the newly elected Congress as well.

Yup. With Republicans picking up seats in each house, if it does tie, Bush will more than likely win. Anyone know if this has ever happened before?
