It crashed on me at first, too. I rebooted, and by the time I had rebooted, they had posted a fixed stream.

It's in no way HD — but it is DVD quality, and at 30fps! (That requires a connection capable of sustaining 600Kbps)

16:9 has nothing to do with HD. It's nothing new. We've had 16:9 TVs for like 10 years or more over here.

Just watched the whole thing with not a stutter in sight, except for when I paused it (and it never failed to pick right back up again). Probably because you guys in the States are all asleep right now. But whatever - it's amazing quality, amazing. 2Meg DSL here.

The first copy they posted was a little whack, and I think the number of people watching at once contributed too.

I'm on 1,5 Mbit dsl and it worked like a charm (mini 1.25, 1GB).

I might add that I would never have imagined that degree of quality some years ago on a freaking stream!

Here's another request for you QuickTime hackers out there to come up with the actual download link. I definitely want this chunk of Apple history to taking up space on my HD.

What? That makes no sense. So I can call a VHS movie presented in lettebox HD also? If I watch ER on NBC on my SDTV that's HD also?

Just admit you are wrong instead of trying to bend the definition, sheesh.

Yeah, that's 'cause they stole the torrent file from a certain other site. Check the original source and you'll probably have more luck.

...not that I'm advocating that, or anything.

This might work:

Download latest VLC beta and put in apps folder. Then paste this in Terminal:
Code:
