I need a 2-way DVI KVM that will function without a keyboard or mouse plugged in. I'm switching just a screen between two boxes, both of which have their own kbd and mouse. The KVM I have now goes haywire if there's not full sets of kbds, mice plugged in.

Recommendations please? Thanks.

What you want is a DVI switch... unfortunately there aren't many out there and they're pricey; fortunately an HDMI switch ($27) will work if your display is 1920x1200 or less. You'll also need HDMI-DVI cables ($5-20 depending on length) or HDMI-DVI adapters ($3/ea) to use with your existing DVI cables.

Agree this is the best solution - but man that's expensive. Why not just plug in an old keyboard and mouse to make your current kvm happy?

$30-50 is pretty cheap, IMO.
