7130e, love it. Checks my .mac account every five minutes. I definitely recommend it if someone is thinking about getting one.

Let me know.
I'd love a Blackberry, but I was holding back because I didn't think they were Mac compatible.

Edit: Nm, here's the link: http://www.pocketmac.net/products/pmblackberry/

Excellent. Congratulations.

Geeze, I've been weary about those as of recent. RIM is bound to get something in place, but with all the patent stuff that's been in the news, it sounds like their network and what not is not gonna be in good shape.

I had a 7130e for about a week. There's a problem with the software and the roaming in this area. How are you checking your email every five minutes? Are you using a 3rd party software? I have a 7250 that I love and feel naked without. It pushes email from my .Mac account and my gmail account real time. I use Blackberry Web Service. Seeing that you have a 7130e you're either on Verizon or Bell so I think you definitely have access to the service if you're not using it already.

I totally love my BB, it's a great device. I like it a hell of a lot better than the Treo I upgraded from.

Enjoy it!

I've had one for a few years. We have the BB Enterprise Server at work. It really is like crack.

I refuse to talk on the phone with anyone who uses a Blackberry. It picks up more background noise than the person talking who's actually talking into it.

The 7105 is supposed to be quite a bit better, but I don't know much about it to be honest. I've heard a lot of negative though.

You need PocketMac to sync with a Mac. I haven't used their products for years, but they're always very responsive to customer feedback and support.

PocketMac works great. I really love the application...

You can't install software using PocketMac, but most applications have over-the-air install options. Additionally, you can email yourself a zip of an application and the BB will install things that way. It's a little obtuse, but it works.

Blackberries, bleh

I tried a PDA for a few weeks (paid $300 for a Palm Tungsten), couldn't get into it.
I now use 99c notepads and a pen. And post-it notes. My desk is a mess. But there is an organization to it that only I can understand

And cell phones? Give me the basics: I want to make calls, take calls, and store some phone numbers. Nothing else. No color screen, games, etc. required

And this is coming from a programmer

It's not a PDA (well, it is, but that's not the main feature). It's handheld email access that works like nothing else (I don't care what brand of handheld email you have tried, it is not as good as the Blackberry).

blackberry's are really nice. But most of the users turn into crackberry's as they are highly addictive. I have a ppc-6700 best phone out.
