Downloaded it, tried to install it, and i keep getting an error message that i need to quit iTunes first. BUT, it's already closed! What's up with that?!
Specs:12" PowerBook-1.33GHz, 768 PC2700, Airport Express, Panther (10.3.9), iSight, 15GB 3G iPod

Do you have SizzlingKeys?

Open terminal. Run "top". Open another terminal window. "kill" both SizzlingKeys and iTunesHelper ID #s.

Sizzling Keys, that was the culprit. Damn it! I even made a new account to install iTunes
iMac G5 2.0 Ghz 20", 2 GB RAM, 400 GB, OS X 10.4.5, iPod with color screen 60 GB

sizzling keys was the culprit?? wtf? lol. it never caused problems before. thx for the tip.

Tunrs out that WAS the problem! But, instead of going through Terminal I just went into system prefs and turned it off! Thanks!

Haha, I just thought it might be iTunesHelper, so I killed 2 birds with 1 Terminal. Glad to know it's that simple, though.
