How do you take care of your Macbook?

I am currently a student and want to use the macbook daily and take it to school. Do you think I should purchase a bag specially for it or just put it in my backpack?
Could the Macbook take a beating like this? For those of you who have one, how fragile are they?

Buy a Tucano SecondSkin or similar... then it should be fine in your bag every day.

I have a neoprene sleve I put it in, then in my laptop bag. Adds some extra padding.

speaking of taking care of the macbook.....does the full body invisible shield first remove scratches from the wrist rest area so that then you can apply the shield??

I just put mine in a RadTech neo case, and it stays in it. I keep it there. I like it.

I would just get a skin and put it in your bag... honestly *especially if it's white* I would not put your Macbook in your backpack without a case. personally, I bought a Brenthaven Metro (black) for mine... fitting my bluetooth mouse, power cord, blackbook, flex mic, and about 5-10 CDs is a bit of a squeeze but it works and I can still have an itty bitty bag like I wanted to...
