What do I do to treat a scratch in the MBP below the trackpad button on the handrest, its almost like indented, is there a filling paste i can put in that will fill it in.

You could try ConceAl. It was originally made for the Aluminum G4 Powerbooks, but might work just fine on the MBPs if the color is the same. Hopefully it will make a scratch less noticeable.

Filler will probably end up looking worse than the scratch itself. The only way to truly get rid of it would be to sand it out, and I wouldn't want to go there.

I'd say get over it and live with it. You've purchased a product that was designed to show age.
