I wonder what it was that Ang Lee said at the end of his speech. Was it in Mandarin Chinese?
What if he said something like, "First the Oscars, next we conquer Washington D.C.!!!" or, "I just farted on stage at the Academy Awards!!!"

Maybe he was just mentioning Taiwanese and Hong Kong film industries, there must be some reason why he prefers working in the West.
I will ask my girlfriend, she is Taiwanese and they are very proud of Mr Lee.
