OK. Trying to get good scan results with Epson Perfection 610 (nice little scanner). Epson support--bupkiss help (insulting, really).
First problem: Getting brightness adjusted in monitor controls (both b4 and after ColorSync3 update). The black box remailn black. no pattern appears anywhere along the slider's position (contrast at maximum setting, no prob w/ gammas, white balance, etc).
Second problem (maybe should be in 3rd party hardware, but please humor me): Finding scanner's colorsync profile--not included in CS menu on update, not on Epson site. Should I use "generic" Epson one pass settings?
