am moving from a powerbook (after 8 years, various models) to an imac.
am used to the powerbook keyboard (which i prefer).
looking at 2 keyboards:
the macally ikey slim
and
the kensington slimtype keyboard for mac
not a lot of reviews out there (i've googled already).
and a smaller keyboard is ok with me (i'm moving from a 12" powerbook).
any thoughts?

I'm quite the fan of slim keyboards. I know a friend who has one for her Mom's Mac Mini, and it's very nice.
I'd go with the Kensington - I work at Fry's and we have them on display - they go better with the iMac than the MacAlly in my opinion - in addition to it being a good keyboard, of course.

thanks.
quick question:
which one is smaller keys, size?
and how is the action on both?

I love the icekey, even more than the powerbook keyboard.
The icekey key resistance and rebound is faster, so I can type faster and with less errors. Its also a very nice looking piece.

I'd rather be playing ultimate...
1.5G4 15" AlBook

the icekey looks alright;
it's old (2002), discontinued.
says "it matches the G3 imac"..!
i see them online, but no place to try one.
any other thoughts, anyone?
EDIT: good reviews for the icekey at amazon. and the retailer who told me the icekey was discontinued was full of it.
but the kensington seems (for me) the way to go...

Let us know what you finally decide. I have a matias whose feel I love, but it's so darn noisy that I might consider as a replacement one of the slim models you're considering.

well...all those buttons on the side. i just want to type, move the cursor..basic stuff.
the logitech looks a bit like a controller for a spaceship in a bad sci-fi movie...
i want something lo-profile, minimal.
am gonna wait until october, when i get a new iMac.
and may wait for the macally btkey & mouse...due "sometime before end of year".
i'm gonna go to comp-usa & TRY the icekey & kensington...

I have the Kensington slim type, but I find the keys presses to be too stiff compared to the Aluminum Powerbook keyboard I am used to using... has anyone found a slim keyboard with less keystroke resistance than the Kensington?
