I just bought the Apple's universal dock for my old 20GB iPod (monochrome). I bought this primarily to connect to my home theater - it all works great. But is there a way I can see the menu in the screen so that I can use the remote to navigate? Right now this seems to be available only with color iPods onwards. Can someone give me some help here? Are there any other products in the market that would do this?

None of the iPods will show the menu on the screen, even the new video-enabled iPods. The TV connection on the dock is for pictures & video only.

There is however a third-party product that will display iPod-like menus on a TV screen. I think its called the DLO Homedock Deluxe. Do a Google search. Not sure how much it costs, but may do what you want.
