Text highlighting in OSX stinks: if you highlight text that has the same color as your textselection color, the selected text will be unreadable.

Windows handles this alot better, it automatically changes the selected text-color, so it will always be readable.

I bugged this along time ago, but no improvements in Panther

You're right. It does do this. I'd suggest picking a selection color that contrasts with your normal text color.

I don't think it is this way with all applications. Only Carbon ones and badly coded Cocoa ones.

You could be right. I tried it with TextEdit and it behaved badly.
