Has anyone else played this game yet? I think it's pretty damn sweet. Impossible, but sweet. Either way, I would definitely recommend buying this game.

I was pretty excited about it, but then I read the review at IGN.com.... not many cars to choose from... and most of the 'mods' you can do to your car are just 'asthetic', that don't affect performance at all.

Meh. I'll rent it, but I doubt I'll buy it.

Try renting Need For Speed, Hot Pursuit II (I think thats it, its the other NFS game for the ps2, came out about 1 year ago), that was a REALLY great game.... good levels, lotsa fun.

Let me know how it compares.

I really enjoy Hot Pursuit (have it here on the 'Cube, borrowed from a friend), so I imagine I'll like this one. I played it very briefly on the Xbox at the store the other (not even a minute's worth), and it looked cool. Didn't care for the music at that was playing, but I enjoyed the brief experience. I'll probably pick it up for the 'Cube.

I play it around my friends house on his pc all the time, its awesome!

The ingame music sucks which is a shame, but that can be turned off.

There a fair number of cars to choose from all of them realistic choices that street racers use and do up, so i feel that there are plenty of cars, as for mods to the cars there are loads, most of the mods are asthetic and increase your reputation meter which then enables you to progress through the game and unlock the performance upgrades.

There are plenty of single missions to do outside of the campaign mode. and plenty of variety between races.

I feel that this is my favorite racing game i have ever played so i recommend it.

p.s. Don't even think of using an automatic.

p.p.s The drifting missions are insane so far my highest drift earned 32,000, hahaha
