Japanese firm unveils large robot for disaster rescue work

I think that robot would scare the living sheet out of those being rescued.

Yep...that's how it starts.

First they've got all sorts of helpful, handy appendages. Then come the spinning blades, laser guns, and rocket launchers. How long before they're lined up in an underground city defending against flying metal octopoid drones of doom?

Hmmm?! HOW LONG?!!!

Does it require "Intel/AMD" chips to run? Because this is supposed to help recovery from disasters...not start them...

No, but it can probably destroy it and save you from the rubble.

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.

<Sigh>That was a good series. I'm eagerly awaiting the live action version. I hope they don't butcher it though. I'd hate to see the series left on a bad note. I mean worse than the last episode and the last two movies!

I'm sure they had killing queen aliens in mind when designing it.

Uh, I don't know about you guys, but if I'm trapped under a thousand pounds of rubble, I don't mind if they use a [email protected]#%ing robot to get it off!
