Would anyone know how to take the front (ice) plastics off. The one that says imac, and the one with the speakers. I have not tried and was wondering if this was a difficult task. Any answers would be appreciated.

The plastic part with the power button is attached to the ice colored plastic at the bottom of the iMac with two tabs. To remove this bit you have to push up on these tabs and pull out the panel to release it. When you have done that you can see two screws that hold the plastic bit with "iMac" on it secured to the gray plastic inside.
I personally had some trouble getting the plastic bit with the powerbutton on it off.
One other way to do it is to take all the bottom ice-plastics off. The down side to that is that you allso have to take the logicboard assembly out. If you need pictures I'll mail them to you.
Just let me know.

Just so you know you can use Orange Sticks, like used by a manicure professional on the seams plastics to prevent damage at the seams when trying to separate them. This is from an Apple TIL article related to taking apart the Apple Studio Display 21". Something a service agent might do. Visit your local beauty supply store to get them.
