Well, we're back, with all our threads!

All thanks to Jorge (our hosting guy) for everything he's done (backups are a Good Thing). He's helped us more than once, and has been /great/ support during this whole transition.

EDIT: Should be all set now!

Woh, check out the stars in here, everyone is leet! Hehe Glad to see that the board is back up to fighting strength though. They've fscked with the wrong ppl though, Mac users know how to kick ass. We should put together an elite task force, go over there and do a little damage of our own.

403 was because we chmoded everything to 000 to make sure no further hacking would take place while we were working.

404 is just messed up.

Do you know how they did it or is this type of thing likely to happen again? Was it a misconfiguration of the new server or did it have to to with some exploit of the UBB system?

Apple doesn't read these message boards. If you have a complaint or suggestion for OS X send feedback where it will do some good.

It was because the news site Slashdot made a direct link to the macnn forums for an OS X story. Since there is such a huge base of very compulsive readers who read the linked pages, often they "slashdot" the pages with a huge number of requests.

Were weren't "attacked"
