Dave Hyatt (http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/hyatt/) posted a lot of new features in Safari! Tab between forms elements, better table support, window.print support, dhtml performance, etc.

Now... when we will see this new version??

As you will note by looking into the comments on his blog, he is not allowed to say. My personal guess is sometime in March.

Exactly. Together with some all new interface elements which I really can't imagine now, it could be Safari 2.
Hopefully together with iPhoto3.

At least some of those interface elements are very easily imagined: better contextual menus!

The present ones are rather elementary indeed.

Please give us filtering of bookmarks.

Lots of Apple apps and even the finder have excellent search features so i hope they add it to Safari soon.

In iTunes you get the option to search on:
All
Artists
Albums
Composers
Songs

In Safari I could see something like this:
All
Name
Address
Keywords
Description
History

Safari doesn't store keyword and description data right now but since people go to so much trouble to set up this data for search engines then it could help here as well.
The History option would allow you to search the text of any cached pages, OmniWeb already does this.

I could see the filter working in a similar way to iCal with the search box being at the bottom of the bookmarks page and the results appearing above it. I would also be nice if you could select items in the left hand pane to work along with the filtering action.
Nothing to see, move along.

Indeed. At the very least I'd like to see a show image properties/url on right click. It's a requirement for when i'm doing my web development testing.

Good software takes time, people. Just because Hyatt says that the coding is finished doesn't mean that everything is release-quality yet. Apple needs better QA as it is, so I don't mind delaying the release if it will be better-tested as a result.

What would be nice, however, is an interim release of the WebCore source.

10.3.2 has brought the WebCore update since we now have this:

(8) The title attribute is now displayed in a tooltip

Yeah, Hyatt left the following comment on his blog:

"The update to WebKit is very minor (a few key fixes and the title support). It does not contain any of the fixes I have been blogging about.

Theoretically it is possible to do that with the CSS2 cursor property, but I'm not sure even IE supports that particular use of it.

Mostly, it's used between choosing among the standard system cursors. Not terribly useful under most situations, but it does have a few cases where it can come in handy.

It's similar to an ALT tag. When you move your cursor over a link with the title attribute, you will see its value displayed as a tooltip.
