I have happy memories of most places I've been on holiday, and watching some recent TV shows bring these back, especially where there are lots of exterior shots
Las Vegas
CSI Helicopter shots
The Defenders
Chicago
Mind of the married man

How glamorous. I can't bring myself to watch Hollyoaks in the hope of seeing some of my old hangouts in Liverpool...

I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Better for GM to be at RenCen than in their old building-which looked almost exactly like the old train station...
Just spent the last week of April in SE Michigan, and it was nice to see the area I grew up (despite the yucky weather). Those Chrysler commercials are pretty good at showing off some of the more interesting areas there too. When the 300 rolls past the Woodward Ave. sign, it's just perfect.
Most of the places I have spent time on vacation aren't big with TV shows; Northern Michigan (they're missing out on Traverse City and Alpena, not to mention the UP), Southern Louisiana outside New Orleans, Colorado Springs... Before Vancouver hit it big with TV, there were a few shows that did their "large city exterior" work in Toronto, and sometimes you'd catch a glimpse that made that clear. And there's a fairly old film, Somewhere in Time, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymore, that was filmed in part on Macinac Island, particularly in and around the Grand Hotel. Beautiful place...

Colorado Springs has been in quite a few TV shows. Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was filmed in Colorado Springs, Stargate was filmed here, Venture Brothers, and a few Southpark episodes all feature Colorado Springs. Also the opening titles to an '80s TV show that I can't remember the name of depicted Colorado Springs. And of course, WarGames and The Prestige were all here too.

Don't forget Escanaba In Da Moonlight as a UP location shoot.
Edit: and wasn't John Cusak in a movie supposedly filmed in a casino in Northern Michigan?

Are you talking about "Grosse Pointe Blank"? I think there was a part in that at a casino...

Oops, it was actually Reindeer Games with Ben Affleck. And it was shot in Vancouver, but supposed to be the UP of Michigan. I didn't think it looked anything like the UP, but so few people have ever been in the UP that hardly anyone would notice.
